Overall, the 3KMPR anticipates a target population of about 5.3 million inhabitants to be a accommodated in Kuwait over the next 25 years. About 2.8 million inhabitants will have to be accommodated within the existing metropolitan area, in addition to a further 2.5 million inhabitants to be accommodated within the new suggested cities / settlements in the proposed sub-regional development areas.
